POSITION \ Security Analyst
Location - South Bend, IN
Type - Full-time
Protecting the security and integrity of data is vital for businesses and organizations. Without constant monitoring and analysis; businesses, public organizations, government agencies, and individuals are vulnerable to harmful infiltration of their computer systems. Such cyber-attacks cause huge losses of time, money, security, and trust. MicroIntegration is passionate about protecting our clients from such attacks. As a Security Analyst, you will work closely with our Security Team to ensure that our systems and those of our clients are protected from such security threats.
essential duties + Responsibilities
Support & operate data center network security and threat management systems; servicing the MI Cloud and our customers (Logrhythm, Sophos, etc.)
Manage security measures and operate software to protect systems and information infrastructure, including firewall features, anti-virus, web filtering, group policies, etc.
Monitor computer networks / systems for security issues
Investigate / remediate security breaches and other cyber security incidents
Implement best practices for IT security via Group policies, anti-virus, and application security
Perform vulnerability scanning
Remediate detected vulnerabilities to maintain defined standards
Help colleagues install security software and understand information security management
Assist with security related compliance efforts (including controls for FedRAMP, and SOC2)
Provide security support for FedRAMP controls implementation and ongoing requirements
Stay up-to-date on information technology trends and security standards.
Other duties as assigned
Associate’s or Bachelor’s of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Computer Security, Information Systems, or related field - or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
One or more of the following certifications: CISSP (preferred), GIAC GSEC (preferred), CompTIA Security+, Certified Ethical Hacker, OSCP, CCSP, or CISM
Three or more years of experience working within Cybersecurity
Knowledge of industry standard security guidelines
Understanding of firewalls, proxies, SIEM, anti-virus, and Intrusion Detection / Prevention concepts
Experience in information security or related position
Experience with IT compliance standards
Technical writing experience
Understanding of investigation / remediation techniques for security breaches and other cyber security incidents
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills required. Prior communication with C+ level executives a plus
